What it does
Okadoc is a booking platform for healthcare in the United Arab Emirates. Patients search for a clinician by specialty, insurer or location, book a slot directly against the provider's own calendar, and (since 2020) can hold the consultation by video instead of attending in person.

The interesting constraint in this category is not the booking interface, which is well understood, but the integration behind it. A booking that is not written into the provider's own scheduling system produces a double booking rather than an appointment, so the product's real work is the connection to hospital systems, and its expansion is provider-by-provider rather than city-by-city.
The company reports that providers using it see substantially fewer missed appointments. Recent HealthTech has not verified that figure independently, and it is recorded here as the company's claim rather than as an established outcome.
