What it does

CureApp develops therapeutic apps prescribed by physicians in Japan. Two hold Japanese marketing approval on the regulator's record: CureApp SC, for smoking cessation treatment of patients with nicotine dependence, and CureApp HT, for adjunctive treatment of essential hypertension in adults. The PMDA's list of review reports also lists an alcohol-reduction app, CureApp AUD, as approved in February 2025.

Independent evidence

Established from a source other than the company.

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's notice of 26 April 2022 lists CureApp HT's approval (number 30400BZX00100000); the PMDA's review reports, published in English, name the applicant CureApp, Inc. and set out each product's intended use, and the HT approval carries a condition to report post-marketing efficacy information to the PMDA every year. Both review reports state that the product was not approved abroad at the time.

What the company says

The company’s own statements, attributed to it and not presented as established fact.

The company's English overview says it was established on 31 July 2014; its product pages say CureApp HT went on sale and was listed for insurance reimbursement on 1 September 2022, and give the fee-schedule items it bills under.

Notes on this record

The funding stage is not recorded. The 15 September 2026 chatbot update is not treated as a Radar development.
