Symptom assessment is one of the most scrutinised categories in digital health, and reasonably so: the failure modes are asymmetric. Reassuring someone who needs urgent care is far worse than sending someone to a clinic they did not need, and products in this category are judged on that asymmetry rather than on average accuracy. Recent HealthTech reports what the product does and does not assess its clinical performance.
